Testimonials – what is a testimonial?

noun
1. a written declaration certifying to a person’s character, conduct, or qualifications, or to the value, excellence, etc., of a thing; a letter or written statement of recommendation.
2. something given or done as an expression of esteem, admiration, or gratitude.

The web has made it easier for consumers to get recommendations not only from friends, but to see secure, verified reviews from people all over the world. As a result, an increasing number of people say they trust online testimonials just as much as recommendations from acquaintances – 78% as of last year. Admittedly, testimonials and customer reviews are not strictly the same thing, but the principle holds – testimonials are a valuable form of social proof that gives your value claims more legitimacy.

Nothing can make….or break…your company faster than people talking. The fact is, people listen to what others say, for better or worse, so it’s more important than ever to make those good words count. We all know how fast bad news can travel. If someone is unhappy with your product or services, you can bet others will hear about it. People tend to listen a bit less when the news isn’t as juicy, so if you have the opportunity to let others know some of the positive things your clients are saying about, take full advantage of that and put those testimonials to work for you and get them up on your website!

InHouse Publishing has gathered both written and video recorded testimonials to offer credible and definitive support behind the InHouse process. We feel it is important that you not just take the written word for it, but the verbal as well.
